A revista Rolling Stone fez uma lista com os 50 melhores álbuns femininos da história. Já vai pensando na confusão criada entre os fãs dessas cantoras. A grande campeã não foi Madonna, nem Lady Gaga, nem Beyoncé, muito menos Adele, apesar das quatro estarem presentes na lista. 

O melhor álbum feminino da história, segundo os editores da Rolling Stone, é o "I Never Loved A Man The Way I Loved You", da soberana do soul Aretha Franklin.
